Advanced Life Support by American Heart Association (ACLS)

This is an instructor-led classroom-based training that focuses on the importance of communication and team dynamics, immediate post-cardiac arrest care and systems of care. It also discusses and explains related pharmacology and airway management. 

Contents:

- Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED)
- Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
- Recognition and early management of respiratory & cardiac arrest
- Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
- Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics
- Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
- Related pharmacology
- Airway management
