Aromatherapy Course

Aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils to promote relaxation and healing. In our Aromatherapy course we teach students how to use essential oils to create a customized experience for their clients.

1. Anatomy of the human body - In this module we cover the foundation, structure and function of the human body. Students will learn about the cells, tissues and membranes that make up our bodies and how our major systems function to help us develop and stay healthy.

2. Introduction to Aromatherapy: This module covers the history and theory of aromatherapy, including the different types of essential oils and their properties

3. Essential Oil Blending: This module covers how to create custom essential oil blends for different purposes, such as relaxation, stress relief, or pain management

4. Client Consultation and Safety: This module covers how to conduct a thorough client consultation, including assessing the client's needs and any health conditions that may affect the use of essential oils. It also covers safety precautions when using essential oils, such as dilution and avoiding sensitive areas.

5. Business Practices: This module covers how to market and promote an aromatherapy massage practice, as well as the legal and ethical considerations involved in running a massage business..

Format & Assessment Type:

1.Practical Assessments: These assessments involve performing a massage on a client under the supervision of an instructor, who evaluates the student's technique, application of aromatherapy principles, and adherence to safety protocols.

2.Written Assessments: These can include quizzes, tests, or assignments that evaluate the student's knowledge and understanding of aromatherapy principles, the properties of different essential oils, and their application in massage therapy.

3.Case Studies: Students must complete case studies, which involve working with clients to create individualized aromatherapy massage treatments based on their specific needs and preferences. Students must document the process and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment.

4.Presentations: Students may be required to give presentations on specific topics related to aromatherapy, such as the history of aromatherapy, the benefits and risks of essential oils, or the use of aromatherapy in different settings.

5.Practical Exams: This assesment will evaluate the student's ability to perform an aromatherapy massage on a client, demonstrating their knowledge and understanding of aromatherapy principles, techniques, and safety protocols
