NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate In Introducing Caring For Children And Young People

The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People prepares learners who have no recent or little experience in working in an early years childcare setting to prepare them for future learning and training as well as providing practical skills.

If you have no, or little experience of working with children in an early years setting, you should study this qualification prior to progressing on to the CACHE Level 3 Diploma.

Qualification Structure: The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care focuses on:

• The EYFS – Early Years Foundation Stage model of best practice
• The importance of play for early learning
• Food and nutrition
• Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people

Learning and Assessment:

Learners must achieve a minimum of 16 credits, attending group classes one morning per week, supported by online study 6 months.
A team of highly skilled professionals will conduct the training and support. Assessment takes place through a variety of ways including an online portfolio of evidence and direct observation of practice in the workplace.
Learners who complete this qualification:

• Gain an internationally recognised Level 2 CACHE qualification which also enables you to progress to the CACHE Level 3 Diploma which is recognised by KHDA
• Will be able to work as an assistant teacher in a nursery or kindergarten with children aged birth to 5

Entry Requirements:

• Learners must be at least 16 years of age
• Learners must be prepared to volunteer in an early years setting to gain valuable practical skills that can help them to progress on to the Level 3 CACHE Diploma. (British Orchard Nursery can provide volunteer placement hours. Learners will need to arrange their own police clearance, etc., which BON can advise you on.)
• Learners should have an email account & access to a laptop with internet connection.
