ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Internal Auditor Training

Learning objectives:

This five-day ISO 14001 Lead Auditor training course is designed to develop the delegate’s knowledge of Environmental Management System (EMS) auditing and ISO 14001:2015, delivering a full understanding of the processes and techniques of EMS auditing and the requirements of ISO 14001.

In detail, the training course will provide technical knowledge and practical skills to become a competent Lead Auditor. Amongst others you will learn about:

• The purpose of an environmental management system and the business and societal benefits of improving environmental performance.

• The Plan-Do-Check-Act framework with regards to ISO 14001.

• The interrelationship between management responsibility, context of the organization, environmental policy, environmental planning, operational control, checking of performance, management review and continual improvement.

• The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continual improvement.

•  how to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of an environmental management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 14001 and in accordance with ISO 19011.

Notes:

• Students who passed the continuous assessment and the 2-hour closed book examination will be awarded a Certificate of Successful Completion. Based on IRCA policy, this course satisfies the training requirement for certification as an IRCA registered EMS Lead Auditor/Auditor.
