This program is designed o give you knowledge of safety responsibility and explores a range of topics related to workplace hazards in general industry. You will be trained on the recognition, abatement, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace.

It also covers sections on workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.

Objectives:

Purpose of the OSH Act and list the functions of OSHA.
Rights and responsibilities of employers and employees under the OSH Act.
OSHA inspection priorities and describe the inspection process.

Topics:

Introduction to OSHA.
Managing Safety and Health Programs at the construction site.
Workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and filing a complaint.
Management commitment and employee involvement, and worksite analysis.
Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, job site inspections, and accident prevention programs.
Hazard prevention and control, accident investigations, how to conduct safety meetings, and supervisory communication.
