As a student, this workshop will help you to explore the historical context of shadow and light in modern and classic paintings from the application of pattern-like approach in modern art and the use of ‘chiaroscuro’ in classical painting.
Here, you will use different materials in various exercises to investigate shadow and light. You will produce visual records through observation and studies that are based on work by past legends like Leonardo da Vinci.
