GHP Staff Training (Level 2) is a Sharjah Municipality accredited mandatory Basic Food Hygiene training program introduced as a part of Sharjah Food Safety Program.
Food safety training is crucial and plays an important role in shaping the food safety culture in a food establishment. Trainings provide food handlers the skills and knowledge required to handle food safely and uphold high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Who can attend:
The program focusses on the food sector in Sharjah, which includes food service (restaurants, hotels, coffee Shops, catering), food retail (Supermarkets, Groceries), food trading, Foodstuff warehouses and food manufacturing businesses. The employees engaged in food handling activities in above-mentioned facilities can attend this course

​Evaluation and Certification:
After the successful completion of the training, the candidates can appear for a pictorial examination with Sharjah Municipality. To pass the examination the candidates have to achieve 14 marks out of 20. Candidates who pass the exam will receive certificates issued by Sharjah Municipality. Two unsuccessful attempts lead to retraining.
