The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. Learners achieving this qualification will have knowledge and understanding relating to the control of food ingredients, including allergens, at all stages of food purchase and production.
Topics covered include the manager’s role in ensuring food ingredients are effectively managed, accurate communication of ingredient information from supplier to consumer, the importance of practical controls to reduce the risk of allergenic contamination and methods of managing ingredient controls and procedures.

55 years agoThe qualification is also suitable for those owning/managing smaller food businesses. The qualification can be taken as a free-standing qualification or as part of a wider programme of training.
A certificate will be provided upon completion of the training.This is a detailed course aimed at developing and enhancing your knowledge and skills about the basics of food safety and hygiene practices.
'Level 2 award in Food Safety' training is offered by Boecker Public Health to learn about the fundamental steps and principles of food safety. The program will also highlight the basic food hygiene steps.
This is a certified course and it is accredited by regulators of Wales and England. This qualification is accepted by Skillsmart retail (sector skills council for retail industry). It is also part of Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF).
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety is a qualifi cation intended for food handlers working in a (Manufacturing/ Retail/ Catering ) environment and those who are preparing to work in the industry.
