Bachata dance originated in the Dominican Republic, and it is originally a genre of Latin American music with musical elements of European, African and Indigenous also embedded. A usual Bachata band requires at least 5 instruments which are ‘Requinto (lead guitar), Segunda (rhythm guitar), bass guitar, bongos and güira; often supported by electric guitar, guitar’.
